Frictional Games is trailing breadcrumbs to tease its newest game, and bird of Jove-eyed enthusiasts are shallow in the ARG (via Eurogamer).
The developer's official internet site shows a pulsating… thing in the pore of the site. It's got little tendrils, and seems to be growing in size. Unsettling stuff, just the critter is shrouded in mystery for the moment. Frictional Games fans are undeterred, and they believe the developer has begun an alternate reality game—Beaver State ARG—to coquette its newest gage.
So, at that place's a odd symbol of an eye in the bed rightmost tree of the formalised website. Hover over that and IT gives a function of a YouTube URL. Follow that link and it shows a short video recording titled, "Box 52, Tape 16." The camera shakily pans finished a accumulation of rocks, with one that seems to have been cut clean in half. Unnatural hilarious is heard, and the description says that this is, "Artefact 1/7/115, marked 'Triple Crown'. Picture unrecoverable, Audio track fragment reconstructed, denoised."
Some have suggested that the "Triple Poll" is connected to the Triple Atef Crown, or Hemhem crown, which was an ancient Egyptian ceremonial head set up. "Hemhem" means to "to vociferation," which once again, links to the sounds in the telecasting, and the crown often attended representations of sunrise and rebirth. The little beastie on Resistance Games' website has been "born"; we've watched it arise from a cell, to a louse-care thing, to this… fetus?
We'll keep an eye on that for you. I'm sure aught will fail.
